National Supercomputing Shenzhen Center Director Feng Shengzhong led a team to visit NICIEIOn May 25, Director Feng Shengzhong of the National Supercomputing Shenzhen Center visited NICIEI, and General Manager Sun Yu of NICIEI warmly welcomed the visit of Director Feng Shengzhong and his team. Accompanied by General Manager Sun Yu, Director Feng and his delegation visited the Center's experience center and had an in-depth discussion on the current research status, research characteristics and application prospects in the fields of high performance computing, edge intelligence and intelligent industrial control. During the exchange, Sun Yu, general manager of the center, introduced the construction, development direction, key work and other related information of the Innovation Center and the latest research results to Director Feng and his delegation. Director Feng Shengzhong congratulated the Innovation Center for its achievements and suggested that the value of supercomputing is in the application, and he would like to strengthen cooperation with the Innovation Center in the future to explore the industrial applications of supercomputing. National Supercomputing Shenzhen Center was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China in 2009, and is the largest national-level major science and technology innovation infrastructure in Shenzhen since the establishment of the city. Shengzhong Feng is the director of National Supercomputing Shenzhen Center, professor, doctoral supervisor, distinguished member of Chinese Computer Society, expert of National High Performance Computing Key Special Group, executive director of Chinese Mathematical Software Association, and member of High Performance Computing Professional Committee of Chinese Computer Society. He has led many national research projects, including the 863 Key Project and the National Natural Science Foundation of China Frontier Exploration Project. As a project leader, he has participated in 863 major project "Dawning 4000 series supercomputer", NSF major project "Network-based scientific computing environment", and Chinese Academy of Sciences major project " Bioinformatics Processing Special Purpose Machine" project. He won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, and several prizes of Science and Technology Progress Award of ministries and commissions, and the first prize of the first "Chunhui Cup" Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. He has published more than 30 SCI/EI papers. His main research interests are high performance computing, grid computing and bioinformatics. |
